SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Outcast and the U.S. Department of Transportation today announced a partnership to reach drivers at the pump as part of the "One Text or Call Could Wreck It All" campaign. "Texting and cell phone use behind the wheel is dangerous for all drivers and can have devastating consequences," said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood. "We're thrilled to partner with Outcast and use their unique platform to directly reach millions of drivers with our new PSA."

The 30-second PSA features teenagers talking and texting while driving and crashing into giant text slang words such as OMG and LOL. The PSA is part of the larger "One Text or Call Could Wreck It All" campaign DOT is launching on November 28 in Washington, D.C.

"We are proud to work with Secretary LaHood and DOT to help raise awareness for this lifesaving campaign by reaching drivers with a relevant reminder about texting and talking while driving," said Nathan Gill, Chief Revenue Officer at Outcast. "We want to ensure that our busy, on-the-go audience has access to important information that can help save lives, and there is no better time to be reminded of this vital message than during those five minutes our viewers are stopped at the pump."

The "One Text or Call Could Wreck it All" campaign marks the first time DOT will air a broadcast spot on any fuel network in the gas station space. Outcast will broadcast the spot in gas stations in the top 59 DMAs throughout the country.
