America's Got Talent 2010 Winner, Michael Grimm, to Perform at Tucson's Rialto Theatre on September 23rd

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tucson's 2nd Saturdays Downtown, Kennedy Events and the Rialto Theatre proudly present the winner of America's Got Talent 2010, Michael Grimm, live in concert Friday September 23, 2011 at the historic Rialto Theatre, 618 E. Congress Street. The concert is a joint effort to bring one of America's most talented singers downtown to the Old Pueblo for a night of soulful music.

Doors will open at 6:00pm with the show starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25 and will be available primarily at the Rialto Theatre Box office and at all Bookman's Entertainment locations. You can also order your tickets by calling the Rialto Theatre box office at 520-740-1000.

With his soulful voice and earthy Southern charm, Mississippi-bred Michael Grimm charmed millions of viewers as a contestant on Season Five of NBC's America's Got Talent, parlaying his substantial singer-songwriter appeal into a first-place finish, a one-million-dollar prize, and a deal with Epic Records. Grimm's self-titled major-label debut was released on May 17, 2011. The album, which features both Grimm's own original compositions as well as covers of some of his favorite classic songs, is a stunning showcase for Grimm's considerable songwriting talent and impressive interpretive vocal gifts. He makes Alicia Keys' "Fallin'" his own with his bluesy take and puts his own unique spin on "You Don't Know Me", Otis Redding's "Champagne and Wine," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man", The Faces' "Stay With Me," and Buddy and Julie Miller's "Gasoline and Matches," which Grimm sings with Heart's Ann Wilson.

This show promises to be an emotionally healing event. Michael Grimm touched America's heart with his soulful voice and it is the intention of 2nd Saturdays and Kennedy Events to create a very special night of music with, "The best singer in the world", according to Bill Medley, formally of the Righteous Brothers.

Opening the show is the local 2nd Saturday band, Deceptively Innocent, who will be fulfilling a lifelong dream by playing the Rialto Theatre.
