WASHINGTON, June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tune in now to AFGE's "Inside Government" as the union fights back against legislators looking to shrink the federal work force. The show, which originally aired on Friday, June 24, is now available on demand.

AFGE Legislative and Political Director Beth Moten discussed anti-federal employee bills in Congress including H.R. 2114, which would cut an already understaffed federal work force by 10 percent by 2015. Moten also addressed other anti-union bills aimed at taking away official time for union leaders and prohibiting union dues deductions from employees' paychecks.

BlueGreen Alliance Senior Policy Analyst Brian Lombardozzi then shed light on the BGA Apollo Clean Transportation Manufacturing Action Plan, which looks to expand the domestic production of advanced transit systems, vehicles, clean trucks, and their component parts.

Lastly, Americans for Democratic Action National Director Michael J. Wilson discussed a recent National Labor Relations Board proposal to speed up union elections. Wilson also addressed ways to fix the unemployment crisis and get people back to work.

Listen LIVE on Fridays at 10 a.m. on 1500 AM WFED in the D.C. area or online at www.federalnewsradio.com.
