Girl Scouts and DC Cupcakes Team Up For A Sweet Episode
Former Girl Scouts and Georgetown Cupcake owners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis earn their cooking badge with local Girl Scouts
WASHINGTON, March 30, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Former Girl Scouts and Georgetown Cupcake owners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis teach Girl Scouts how to bake while offering the girls inspirational advice on how to follow your dreams on DC CUPCAKES on TLC, Friday, April 1 at 10:30 PM (ET/PT). Batter will splatter and icing will fly as the girls go behind the scenes to bake. The sisters also gave the keynote address at the Girl Scouts Cookie College, a program designed to help young entrepreneurs learn business skills.
Girl Scouts and Georgetown Cupcake owners are available for interviews Friday, April 1.
During the month of April, Georgetown Cupcake will create a special Girl Scout Thin Mint® cupcake. All proceeds from the sale of the Girl Scout Thin Mint® cupcake will benefit the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital annual giving campaign, SHARE. The Girl Scout Thin Mint® cupcake is a chocolate cake with crushed Thin Mint Cookies® baked inside, topped with a mint ganache and decorated with fondant Girl Scout decorations.
