The event is the 39th Anniversary Celebration of Rev. Eddie D. Smith, Pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 600 Eisenhower Blvd. The group's name and photo image has been used to promote said concert without the permission of the group's management or the brand name trademark owner. According to New Wings Management LLC, the Dixie Hummingbirds were never contacted and have no contractual agreement in any form to appear at this event. However, the imposters who will be performing under the Dixie Hummingbirds US Trademark Protected brand name will be vigorously pursued and individually prosecuted.
