Video Services Forum to Host Annual VidTrans Conference and Exposition in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Video Services Forum is pleased to host the annual VidTrans Conference and Exposition, which will be held this year at the Marina Del Rey Marriott, Los Angeles, CA, Feb. 1-3, 2011.
The conference includes 2 1/2 days of informative technical sessions on the latest technologies, focused on this year's theme "Video Services; Embracing New Technologies and Applications." Industry experts will present technical papers on a wide variety of topics related to video networking and IP transport. The conference includes a panel discussion on 3D video transport. In addition to technical sessions, VidTrans 2011 also showcases some of the latest applications, technologies and products in its exhibit hall. A highlight of this year's conference will be an interoperability demonstration of High Bit-Rate Media Transport on IP Networks. This demonstration between multiple vendors implements a proposed standard that is currently before the Standards Committee within the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE).
