Four Seasons Diner and Palisades to Host Event Featuring Chef Duff Goldman from the Food Network Series, Ace of Cakes

Event to Take Place at the Four Seasons Diner in Toms River, NJ

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The votes are in and the Four Seasons Diner in Toms River, New Jersey has been named the overall most popular diner among New Jerseyans in the first-ever Palisades "Jersey Diner's Choice Awards." To celebrate, Palisades, the Nice New Jersey car insurance company, and the Four Seasons Diner will host an afternoon-long event on Jan. 21 with Chef Duff Goldman from the Food Network series, Ace of Cakes, and randomly chosen voters who participated in the Jersey Diner's Choice Awards program.

"Good food, great people and an afternoon with Chef Duff Goldman; I can't think of a better way to celebrate the Four Seasons Diner in New Jersey," said Ed Fernandez, president and CEO of Palisades. From Oct. 21 through Dec. 7, New Jerseyans logged on to Palisades.com to nominate and vote for their favorite New Jersey diners in eight fun categories - Best Burgers, Best Breakfast, Best Fries, Best Salads, Best Cakes & Pies, Best Specials, Most Jersey and Nicest. The Four Seasons Diner rose to the top and was selected to host the event with Chef Duff.

The diners that got the most votes in each of the eight categories were named as Best-of-Category winners: The Paramount Diner (Best Breakfast and Nicest), JB's Diner (Best Burgers, Best Specials and Most Jersey) and Four Seasons Diner (Best Cakes and Pies, Best Fries and Best Salads). Each restaurant will receive a Palisades Jersey Diner's Choice Awards plaque to commemorate this honor.

The Palisades "Jersey Diner's Choice Awards" is part of the Palisades Drive with a Smile initiative, a program designed to remind drivers about the best the Garden State has to offer and create nicer New Jersey driving moments with more smiles all around. The program kicked off in the summer of 2009 with the Palisades Highway Art Gallery competition and continued into winter 2009 with the "What Drives Your Holiday Smile?" photo contest.
