Wetpaint Honors Their Favorite Television Characters and the Year's Best Moments with the Entertainment Network's First Ever Show Stalker Awards
The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl Tie For Most Wins
SEATTLE, Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Adding a twist to the typical best-and-worst-of-the-year presentations, Wetpaint Entertainment Network readers have cast their vote in the first-ever Show Stalker awards. The 2010 winners are the television characters (fictional or reality) who make audiences moan, shriek, or laugh the loudest -- sometimes with them, sometimes at them.
Coming in neck-and-neck, "The Vampire Diaries" and "Gossip Girl" each took home six of the top honors. "The Vampire Diaries" top spots include Girl Crush (Katherine), Best Onscreen Bromance (Alaric and Damon), as well as Best One Liner (Damon) for, "That's for me to know and for you to dot, dot, dot."
The wins for "Gossip Girl" include Biggest Tool (Chuck Bass); and Craziest Cat Fight (Blair versus Serena in Paris.)
Other notable first-place accolades include the cast of "Jersey Shore" for Worst Drunk of the Year; and Kim Kardashian for Biggest Fame Whore.
TV favorite "Glee" took in several runner-up nods, including Girl Crush (Brittany), and Best One Liner (Sue) for "Oh, hey there, William. I thought I smelled cookies wafting from the ovens of the little elves that live in your hair."
Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, was touched with the honor. "Biggest Girl Crush Runner-up!? That's actually the biggest achievement, even ahead of actually winning because I imagine everyone is a little too shy and actually won't reveal their love. Oh gosh it's actually kind of nerve wracking. I'm blushing as we speak."
