SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- As proved by the 10-times platinum and 7-times gold Euro sales of their first three studio albums, no other new band has gripped the imaginations of their fans with the ferocity and love of Tokio Hotel. Their concerts have become an experience, which North American audiences got a taste of in 2008, when Tokio Hotel became the first German band to win the MTV VMA for Best New Artist - one of more than 90 (!) global music industry awards they have won since 2005.

Five years later, HUMANOID CITY LIVE celebrates Tokio Hotel's most spectacular stage production ever, capturing all the angst and passion of their 2010 concert in Milan, Italy, as they toured in support of their third international album, Humanoid City. On July 20th, HUMANOID CITY LIVE will arrive in the physical marketplace on Cherrytree/Interscope Records as a special deluxe two-disc DVD+CD package. At the same time, the concert's 19 audio tracks will go up as a digital album at all web providers.

In addition to the 19-song Milan concert video, the DVD will offer the bonus content of Backstage at Humanoid City. This will include an episode of their beloved Tokio Hotel TV, a DVD chronicle of life on the road with one of the world's most hair-raising bands. This new episode catches them during their secret rehearsals in London, and gives an exclusive sneak peek behind the scenes of the HUMANOID CITY LIVE stage production. The DVD will also contain a gallery of rare and previously unseen photography.

Tokio Hotel - lead singer Bill Kaulitz and his twin brother guitarist Tom Kaulitz, drummer Gustav Schafer, and bassist Georg Listing - earned heaps of praise from their legions of fans on the 2010 tour, for their performances of all 12 songs from the album (albeit in an entirely different sequence for the concerts): "Noise," "Human Connect to Human," "Pain Of Love," "World Behind My Wall," "Hey You," "Humanoid," "Dogs Unleashed," "Love & Death," "Automatic," "Darkside of the Sun," "Zoom Into Me," and "Forever Now."

The special bonus on HUMANOID CITY LIVE is the brand new LIVE acoustic version of "Darkside of the Sun."

The Milan concert was caught on film by director Jim Gable, known for his long-form concert videos of the Rolling Stones (Stripped), Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Police, Sting and dozens of others. Gable turned Milan into a gigantic HD movie set as he led a 15-camera crew through every element of the Tokio Hotel show - from Bill Kaulitz's exciting performances amid hydraulic structures, floating bridges, massive fireballs, and glaring spotlights, to the most intimate acoustic moments. The bold and futuristic stage setting for the HUMANOID CITY LIVE tour was created by Misty Buckley and her team, whose members designed the fascinating and unforgettable world of The Fifth Element, Luc Besson's sci-fi masterpiece.
