LodgeNet, the leading provider of media and connectivity solutions to the hospitality industry, is providing a fully integrated package of TV and broadband solutions for the guest rooms, meeting rooms and public spaces of the sophisticated Midtown hotel, which opened in March as the newest location in the 19-property Loews Hotels portfolio. Guests and meeting goers at the Loews Atlanta Hotel can enjoy a comprehensive suite of services including:

-- HD Interactive TV (iTV). The Loews Atlanta Hotel features LodgeNet's
HD Advanced system - the industry's most widely deployed interactive
HDTV platform - delivering still-in-theaters HD movies and exclusive
HD content on demand to 458 HDTVs in the hotel's 414 rooms.
-- HD Free-To-Guest. Guests of the Loews Atlanta Hotel can enjoy a
variety of the most popular high-definition channels including HBO HD,
ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD, TNT HD, and Discovery HD as well as six local HD
channels.
-- Broadband. LodgeNet is providing the hotel with an HSIA environment
consisting of a full Cisco Controller based solution utilizing the
recently released Cisco N 200MBPS Access Points. Wireless HSIA is
available throughout the property, along with wired HSIA in every
guest room. Backend components include the LodgeNet Guestroom Manager
and LodgeNet's ProActive Monitoring System, as well as remote power
management and Blue Coat/Packeteer bandwidth management.
-- Meeting Room Solutions. The Loews Atlanta Hotel has implemented the
LodgeNet Conference Manager (LCM), through which hotel staff can
manage IP needs for the more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space
through a simple Web based interface. This newly developed product
allows meeting room planners to maximize the LodgeNet provided circuit
to a granular level. The LCM can automate highly complex network
solutions for meeting room customers including, but not limited to,
custom SSIDs, dedicated bandwidth, access codes, advanced port
configuration, and static IP addressing. It also allows the property
to deliver custom reports to their groups along with full traffic
analysis. The Atlanta property is one of twelve Loews locations
currently utilizing the LCM.
-- Public Space TV Programming. LodgeNet is delivering a turn-key
solution for HD programming in the hotel's public areas.

A key factor in the Loews Atlanta Hotel deployment was LodgeNet's Professional Solutions team, which worked step-by-step with Loews personnel to ensure a smooth and successful project. The team's role began with initial planning and continued through the network design, installation, integration and testing of all technologies across the property. The Professional Solutions team also customized the guest TV interface and guest facing HSIA welcome screen to reinforce the Loews identity and brand standards.

"The Loews Atlanta Hotel is a terrific example of how we can bring hoteliers value by pulling together a variety of disparate technologies into a reliable, seamless solution that covers the entire property," said David Goldstone, Vice President Sales and Hotel Relations for LodgeNet. "And with our Professional Solutions experts involved in the project from start to finish, we were able to offload the 'detail work' from the hotel's management team so they could focus on the big-picture aspects of the grand opening."

"We have been happy with not only the technology solution LodgeNet delivered, but the way the project was planned and coordinated with our team," said Richard Senechal, AIA, Senior Vice President, Facilities for Loews Hotels.

The Loews Atlanta Hotel is the 18th Loews property to become a LodgeNet customer under a master agreement signed between the companies in 2008.
