Launch of Oregon Freedom Festival Gives Freedom Lovers Reason to Smile

New event celebrates freedom with live music, good food, inspiring speakers, documentaries and shorts, exhibitor and vendor booths and fun, fun, fun

SALEM, Ore., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Oregon Freedom Festival is a one-day festival at the Oregon State Fairgrounds on June 12th with live music, good food, beer & wine, inspiring speakers, documentaries & shorts, exhibitor and vendor booths and lots of fun all around, all in an open air festival. Oregon Freedom Festival is in its inaugural year of this event, which means an opportunity to participate from the beginning.

"Our community has long talked about a fun event that celebrates liberty, but we realized that until we finally do that, it won't happen," said Fred Jabin, event organizer. With the launch of this, Oregon will finally have the occasion to do just this.

Musical acts will include Andy Harrison, Spiral, Never Can Evers, John O'Mara, Keizer Community Jazz Band, HolliePollack, Baggage and Flourish. Several exhibitor / vendor booths and speakers are part of the event as are numerous documentaries and shorts. In addition, a 5k run/walk will happen in the morning. Hours are 10AM to 8PM - cost is $6 at the door. Interested parties may contact the Oregon Freedom Festival team at (503) 510-6790 or email fred@oregonfreedomfestival.org .

Oregon Freedom Festival is an open-minded organization that values free speech. We welcome all organizations that are not based on discrimination. We believe that we can all get together and discuss freedom without trying to choose sides. We welcome any individual or group (except those that are based in discrimination). We also love the freedom to listen: freedom to listen to the good music at the festival and freedom to listen (and try to understand) the views that are different from our own. So in short we are not defining freedom; we are trying to practice it. There is still room for you to be involved and share your unique perspective with the rest of us.
