Indie Film 'Let Go' Starts Principal Photography With Big Cast
LOS ANGELES, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousand Miles Entertainment proudly announces that the indie film "Let Go" from first-time writer/director Brian Jett and producer Leif Lillehaugen has commenced principal photography in Los Angeles with a very impressive cast. Gillian Jacobs, David Denman, Kevin Hart and Ed Asner lead the cast while Kali Hawk, Maria Thayer, Stephanie Lemelin, Catherine Reitman and "Big Bang Theory" regular Simon Helberg highlight a stellar supporting cast.
Irreverent, funny and moving, "Let Go" follows the intertwining stories of Walter Dishman (David Denman), a melancholy parole officer struggling with the doldrums of married life, and three eccentric ex-convicts recently placed on his caseload: Darla DeMint (Gillian Jacobs), a sultry femme fatale on the run from a psychopathic ex-boyfriend that she stole from and whose heart she has broken; Artie Satz (Ed Asner), a cranky geriatric criminal whose feeble attempts to resume his life of crime are thwarted when nobody will take him seriously; and Kris Styles (Kevin Hart), a former doctor, whose criminal conviction for insurance fraud and the break-up of his marriage finds him nearing rock bottom as he's forced to take the most menial jobs imaginable to satisfy the conditions of his parole. Using the afflictions of modern love as a common thread, the stories build to a poignant climax as each of the characters struggle to free themselves from both literal and figurative bonds of love.
The independently financed "Let Go" will shoot in Los Angeles June and July. Distribution is not yet in place. Jacobs, Denman, Hart, Hawk and Helberg are repped at UTA, Asner is repped by Michael Greene and Associates, Lemelin at Paradigm and Thayer at APA.
