HOUSTON, May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Music World Entertainment will commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the Essence Music Festival with a special CD and deluxe DVD/CD package of the top live performances from the 2009 music event. The CD and the two-disc set titled, "The 15th Anniversary of the Essence Music Festival" is the most expansive music collection in the history of the festival and will be released June 15 on Music World Music.

The Essence Music Festival is the nations largest annual gathering of African-American music and culture featuring emerging, superstar and legendary recording artists. The 2009 Essence Music Festival drew a record-breaking 428,000 attendees in New Orleans.

Capturing the festival experience, the deluxe DVD features 9 live performances and the CD contains 10 tracks by award winning and multi-generational artists.
