Taking A Musically Correct Stance Global

Taking A Musically Correct Stance Global

B.O.M.B. Fest 2010, the Bring Our Music Back Inc. festival, hopes to send its message of giving back to the community through music to listeners worldwide.

OLD LYME, Conn., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- What do music and charity have in common? For Bring Our Music Back Inc., the parent company for B.O.M.B. Fest 2010, it is the combination of notes and the healing a song offers for a few organizations across Connecticut, and soon - beyond its' borders.

For the second year, B.O.M.B. Fest, the brainchild of Loyola College freshman Frank Bombaci, Jr., will bring together a variety of local and national musical acts for an all-day extravaganza whose proceeds will benefit music therapy programs at The Hole In The Wall Gang Camps, and Connecticut Children's Medical Center to name a few.

Music fans from all over are expected to attend the festival sponsored by Bring Our Music Back, Inc., a non-profit corporation dedicated to the enrichment of life and healing through music. "This is Music With Purpose. It's good karma - we're giving back what we get - dynamic bands, great sound, amazing fans and it's all to help those who are in need," says Bombaci, Jr.

Up until now the musical explosion has been in Connecticut, but in 2011 the festival heads to a town built on sounds, New Orleans, where the mission will be to bring back the tunes to a still devastated area. "Where better to unveil our global intent? Music heals across all borders and there are so many all over the world in need."

Headlining this musically correct crusade are national acts Lupe Fiasco and 30 Seconds to Mars. The show also features of Montreal, Girl Talk, MuteMath, Ra Ra Riot, Jay Electronica, Cool Kids, Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez. Roots of Creation, 40 oz to Freedom, Quintron, Miss Pussycat and mynameisjohnmichael. Sharing the four stages will be 35 local and regional acts as well.

Tickets are available through bombfest.com and ticketweb.com. Gates open at 10:30 am at the Durham Fairgrounds in Durham, Connecticut, with the music starting at 11 am and ending at 10 pm. Fair rides, food and fun will round out the music.
