Senator Scott Brown Gets a Laugh at the Asylum
You're A Good Man, Scott Brown at Improv Asylum
BOSTON, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- MA- Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) and his wife WCVB-TV reporter, Gail Huff stopped by Improv Asylum last night to enjoy the new comedy musical, You're A Good Man, Scott Brown. With a camera crew from the Today show in tow, the couple had a few laughs at their own expense, with the highlight of the evening being when the stage Scott Brown (played by Evan Kaufman) did an exotic dance for the real Gail Huff. Following the show, Senator Brown graciously shook hands and signed autographs for the cast & audience members.

Ripped from the headlines of the recent election, "You're A Good Man, Scott Brown" follows the players who captured both the local and national media's attention. With a keen satirical eye, the new musical celebrates and pokes fun at both the Republican Senator and his Democratic opponent Martha Coakley, taking a wild ride along the campaign trail with a little help along the way from an ol' pickup truck and the ghost of Senator Ted Kennedy.
The Boston Herald acclaims, "Thank goodness for comedy folk who, when pressed, can turn out a send up before a current event loses its currency." and "...just plain old hilarity". The Sun Chronicle notes, "Carr's Coakley is golden" with "guffaws so loud they drowned out the lines" and "Double entendres that would rival some Mel Brooks lines". Written by Jeremy Brothers (Book and Lyrics) and Jim Zaroulis (Music), "You're A Good Man, Scott Brown" promises to delight audiences from both ends of the political spectrum.
