Bradley University Marketing Professor Joins Automated Media Services as Academic Advisor

Jennifer L. Burton, Ph.D. To Advise 3GTv(TM) Labs on Shopper Marketing Research Efforts

ALLENDALE, N.J., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Automated Media Services, Inc. (AMS), announced that Jennifer L. Burton, Professor of Marketing at Bradley University's Foster College of Business Administration, will be joining the AMS advisory board as the inaugural member of the academic advisory unit. Dr. Burton is the latest in a series of additions to the company's board of advisors. Recently, the company announced the appointments of several executives from the media and retail industries, among them Steve Grubbs and Willard Bishop. These advisors are assisting AMS in the deployment of 3GTv Networks(TM), the first out-of-home form of television.

"3GTv(TM) is the first media platform owned exclusively by retailers, offering them access to a segment of the billions of dollars spent by media planners each year," said Dr. Burton. "Research shows that approximately 70 percent of consumer decisions are made at the point of purchase. 3GTv(TM) will significantly enhance the shopper experience by providing a video-message where it is most effective, helping both retailers and marketers to improve relationships with consumers and build customer loyalty."

At Bradley University, Dr. Burton conducts research and mentors students with curricula that focus on marketing communications, emerging media technologies and media measurement. Prior to joining the faculty at Bradley, Dr. Burton received an MBA from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to her extensive educational background, Dr. Burton also worked for six years in product and marketing management in the telecommunications and industrial equipment industries.

"The addition of Dr. Burton as an academic advisor brings AMS a depth of market insights and knowledge of consumer behavior that will further enhance our ability to help retailers and marketers connect with customers and enrich the shopping experience," said Bob Wolinsky, CEO of AMS.

Professor Burton will serve as the educational contact for the forthcoming graduate student research program to be launched collaboratively by AMS & Bradley University, in June 2010.

3GTv(TM) is supported by nearly a decade of scientific research in the fields of television media planning, buying and metrics, retail media, and shopper marketing. By extending the media agencies' planned media capabilities to the retail sales floor - the most predictable mass audience- 3GTv(TM) changes the paradigm for the retailer, marketer and media agency
