Degree Men Challenges Guys to Push Beyond Their Limits With Launch of New Adventure Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant

Degree Men Partners with the World's Most Iconic Adventure Man Bear Grylls and Discovery Channel to Launch its Fan Vs. Wild Program

CHICAGO, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- From a weekend in the wilderness to their daily commute in the concrete jungle, adventurous guys need a deodorant that helps them feel confident, push beyond their limits and embrace the thrill of adventure. Degree® Men has answered the call, introducing its new Adventure line, part of the all-new Adrenaline Series of anti-perspirant and deodorant. New Degree Men Adventure is the ultimate adventure gear; it responds to increases in adrenaline by releasing extra bursts of fragrance when you sweat.

FAN VS. WILD - POWERED BY DEGREE MEN

To launch the new Degree Adventure line, Degree Men has partnered with Discovery Channel, one of the most widely distributed cable networks in the U.S. and premier provider of real-world entertainment, and Bear Grylls, the world's most iconic adventure man and host of Discovery Channel's Man vs. Wild to select four adventure-minded guys to join Bear on the thrill of a lifetime and participate in a series of wilderness challenges. The challenges will unfold in a special Bear Grylls'-led web series filmed in a remote location this summer. The series will begin airing on www.FanVsWild.com in August.

"I've faced some of the most intense situations and extreme environments in the world, and I know that no matter what I'm facing or how hot it is or how hard my heart is pumping, I can count on Degree Adventure to keep me cool, confident and ready for any challenge," said Grylls. "The Fan Vs. Wild program will challenge guys to embrace the thrill of adventure."

To help participating guys embrace the thrill of adventure and compete to their best ability, Bear and Degree Men have also enlisted a star roster of pro athletes who will head into the wild and help mentor the four selected fans through the challenges.

The athletes will also judge each competitor on how they embrace and tackle each challenge and share their opinions with Bear along the way. One of four competing fans will be chosen to star along with Bear in a special hour-long episode of Fan vs. Wild that will air on Discovery Channel in the fall.

"Degree Men Adventure captures that raw spirit guys have to embrace adventure and whatever challenges life throws at them," said Jay Matthew, Director of Marketing, Degree Men. "Between Bear, our all-star athletes and adventure enthusiasts tackling serious physical and mental challenges in Fan vs. Wild, we want guys to connect with that feeling of adventure and know that Degree Men won't let them down."

From March 15 to April 30, guys across the country have the chance to test their ability to stay cool by participating in Fan vs. Wild Powered by Degree Men. To get involved:

-- Submit a photo and brief essay to www.FanVsWild.com, explaining how
you embrace the thrill of adventure every day and why you'd make a
great candidate for the Fan vs. Wild program.
-- Four fans will be selected to participate in a Bear Grylls'-led boot
camp with pro athletes.
-- Throughout the adventure, Bear will assess the fans' ability to
embrace the adrenaline-pumping challenges.
-- One winning fan will be featured in a special hour-long episode of Fan
vs. Wild on Discovery this fall.

"We often get asked by viewers, 'how do I get to go out in the wild with Bear Grylls?' Well, this is your chance," said Clark Bunting, President and General Manager of Discovery Channel and President of Science Channel. "'Fan vs. Wild,' through a multi-platform experience, ignites our viewers adventurous spirit, not only with Bear but with pro athletes. It's the ultimate heart-pounding adventure and together with Degree Men Adventure, we put you in the middle of it."

New Degree Adventure will be available in mass market retailers beginning this spring and carries a suggested retail price of $3.72 for the 2.7 oz. size.
