SYDNEY and LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Callan McAuliffe the young Aussie teen who won the lead role of BRYCE in Rob Reiner's romantic comedy FLIPPED (release Sept 2010) is celebrating again - with the win of his short film FRANSWA SHARL at The Berlin Film Festival.
Selected by the judges for The Crystal Bear for The Top Short Film in the GenerationKPlus section at the Festival, FRANSWA SHARL is based on the true story of a young boy as he grows up in his own, unique way - while on holiday in Fiji!
"We couldn't stop laughing," said the Berlin Judging Panel "Non stop fun! For a moment we forgot the world around us."
Speaking of McAuliffe's lead role in a press release from the Producer Linda Miskco and Director Hannah Hilliard.
"At casting we were stuck by his ability to portray this dynamic character and make us laugh without forcing a performance. He won us over with his charm and humour - all the right ingredients for our young Greg!"

McAuliffe is currently celebrating in Australia, where he is filming the much anticipated miniseries - based on the best selling and Award winning novel by Tim Winton.
