'Road to the Red Carpet' Rolls Out in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is proud to announce the second annual "Road to the Red Carpet" Gala, a Hollywood inspired black-tie affair celebrating the 82nd Academy Awards®. The event will take place Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. at Pickwick and Frolic on the historic East 4th Street in Downtown Cleveland. Tickets for the event are $150 for general admission and $250 for VIPs and can be purchased on-line at www.roadtotheredcarpet.com.
Guests will walk the red carpet straight to the lights, camera, action -- where classy cocktails, lavish hors d'oeuvres and Hollywood-inspired dishes await. Attendees can view the Academy Awards® on the big screen or mix and mingle with friends gathered around one of our many small screens throughout Pickwick and Frolic. The evening boasts a silent auction where items from flamboyant to outrageous will be on display and available, an Oscar® contest, photo opportunities and our Critic's Corner. Guests will have more fun than if they were standing on the corner of Hollywood and Vine.
A one of a kind silent auction will include walk-on acting parts in some of TV's hottest shows, tickets to the 2011 HBO Golden Globe Party in Los Angeles, tickets to the premiere of "Sex and the City 2," Tom Hanks signed memorabilia, a James Cameron "Avatar" script and poster, a Jeff Bridges signed guitar, signed posters from "The Blind Side," "The Hurt Locker," "Up in the Air," "Precious," and "Inglourious Basterds," as well as many other Hollywood-inspired items.
The 2nd Annual Road to the Red Carpet allows The Greater Cleveland Film Commission the opportunity to raise awareness of Cleveland's local media industry while rallying community support for the economic development of this industry.
