Green Globe Film Awards Face Off Between Takeshi Kaneshiro, Rain and Jackie Chan
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- One of the most sought-after male leading actors in Asia, Takeshi Kaneshiro has been nominated in multiple categories for the Green Globe Film Awards, whose 100 Viewers' Choice Awards are selected by global movie lovers through an online voting system and will be presented at a Hollywood ceremony on March 23rd, 2010. The half-Taiwanese, half-Japanese actor who is fluent in five languages and began his career as a pop idol, has been nominated for three awards: Best International Entertainer, Asian Cultural Ambassador of the Decade and 10 Best International Actors of the Decade. Kaneshiro faces stiff competition in these categories with Korean entertainer Rain (Jeong Jihoon / Jung Jihoon / Bi-Rain) and Chinese fan favorite Jackie Chan. In addition, the John Woo film Red Cliff starring Kaneshiro was nominated as Best International Film of the Decade, and Red Cliff II was nominated as Best International Film and Best International Drama.
