Byung-Hun Lee Takes Green Globe Film Awards by Storm

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Korean idol Byung-Hun Lee, who debuted in Hollywood last year as the villain "Storm Shadow" in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," is one of the leading Korean actors in the 2010 Green Globe Film Awards. Although a new face in Hollywood, the actor and singer is no stranger to the silver screen. His film and television career spans 19 years and he has received more than a dozen acting awards in his home country of Korea. Lee is now one of the leading nominees in the 2010 Green Globe Film Awards categories of "10 Best International Actors of the Decade (Asia)" and "10 Outstanding Asians in Hollywood." He has also been nominated for "Asian Cultural Ambassador of the Year." Byung-Hun Lee is going up against such Asian superstars as Jackie Chan, Rain (Jeong Jihoon / Jung Jihoon / Bi-Rain) and Takeshi Kaneshiro.

The Green Globe Film Awards is made up of 100 Viewers' Choice Awards that are selected by global movie lovers through an online voting system at http://www.movie-voters.com/. Awards in the categories of major motion picture, environmental, humanitarian, animated and international films will be presented at the Green Globe Film Awards and Emperor's Dreams Dinner Gala on March 23, 2010 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. The 2010 International Category Theme is "Asian Films."
