Watervliet Elks to Start ELKS - Education, Learning, Knowledge, Services Video Development
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Watervliet Elks will start a video club for low-income youth. They will work with local WVLT public television employees to produce PSAs and other projects.
ELKS - Education, Learning, Knowledge, Services Video Development will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Watervliet Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Watervliet Elks Lodge No. 1500 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
