El Cajon Elks to Start Music Instrument Fund for Youth in Need
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the El Cajon Elks will provide musical instruments to young people in the community who seriously want to continue their music education, but cannot afford an instrument or do not attend schools that offer music education.
The Music Instrument Fund for Youth in Need Program will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the El Cajon Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, El Cajon Elks Lodge No. 1812 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
