DETROIT, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- It is no secret that Michigan has been among the hardest hit regions economically, rising unemployment, major businesses leaving the area, and foreclosures. Metropolitan area Detroiters have found themselves shuffling limited resources just to survive. During this bitter cold season, needy school children will brave the cold to get to school and some will stay home due to lack of proper warm clothing.

On Monday, January the 18th at 11AM, hundreds of needy children will be able to get a brand new coat free due to a very special partnership.

The Kmart partnership with WADL-TV38 in this noble undertaking further reinforces what community commitment is about states Lewis Gibbs President of WADL-TV38.
