NAMIC Announces Call for Nominations for the 2010 Next Generation Leaders Awards

NEW YORK, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) today announced its call for nominations for the 2010 Next Generation Leaders Awards. Since its inception in 2006, the Next Generation Leaders Awards have recognized up-and-coming executives that are exemplifying NAMIC's mission to educate, advocate and empower for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry. The Next Generation Leaders Awards are presented in conjunction with the NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast held as part of Cable Connection-Spring. Scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., this year's NAMIC Annual Awards Breakfast will be held at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

"Two-thousand and ten marks NAMIC's thirtieth anniversary, and the slate of education and leadership development programs that we facilitate to foster a multi-ethnic workforce is stronger than ever," said Kathy Johnson, president, NAMIC. Executives of color age 45 or under are eligible to be nominated for Next Generation Leaders Awards in three categories: Cable MSO, Cable Programmer and Technology Company or Discipline. The nominations submissions deadline is February 22, 2010.
