The Jugueton, the Largest Toy Drive in Mexico, Delivers Over 15,000 Toys in Los Angeles, as Part of the 15,421,802 Toys Delivered in Mexico, Guatemala, Texas and California for Three Kings' Day
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fundacion Azteca America, Azteca America Los Angeles and Fundacion Hermes Music are pleased to announce the successful delivery of over 15,000 toys to needy kids in the Los Angeles area thanks to the Jugueton, the largest toy drive in Mexico.
More than 20,000 people came to the Plaza Mexico in Lynwood, California for the event on January 8, which was hosted by Jugueton President and Founder Jorge Garralda and Hermes Music Founder and Chairman Alberto Kreimerman.
The festive event included live music from graduates of TV Azteca's La Academia musical reality show Raul Sandoval and Luz Leguizamo.
The Jugueton is a project supported by Mexican entrepreneur Ricardo Salinas Pliego, founder and chairman of Grupo Salinas, which includes TV Azteca and Azteca America, among other important companies.
Toys for the Los Angeles event were also distributed to non-profit organizations including: the American Cancer Society, From Heart to Heart (De Corazon a Corazon Foundation), Neighborhood Legal Services, Union de Discapacitados Latinoamericanos, Hombre Nuevo, Starlight Foundation, Childrens Department of Los Angeles County and other important community groups.
