Comcast Names Curt Henninger as Regional Senior Vice President For California

LIVERMORE, Calif., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSK) (NASDAQ:CMCSA) http://comcastcalifornia.mediaroom.com/, one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communications services, has named Curt Henninger as Regional Senior Vice President for California, it was announced today by Steve White, President of Comcast's West Division. Henninger will report directly to White and will oversee all aspects of Comcast's video, high-speed Internet and telephone operations in both the Bay Area and Central California, serving more than 2.4 million customers and managing about 7,000 employees. Henninger begins his new role immediately and will be based in the company's Livermore office.

Henninger joins California from Comcast's Oregon & Southwest Washington Region, where he most recently served as Regional Senior Vice President. In this position, he held management responsibilities for about 600,000 customers and 2,000 employees. Under Henninger's leadership, the Oregon & Southwest Washington Region was selected as Comcast's "System of the Year" twice in a four year period, highlighting the region's operational excellence and commitment to providing an excellent customer experience. In addition, in October 2009, Communications Technology Magazine selected Oregon & Southwest Washington as "Cable System of the Year" for the entire country, highlighting the region's reputation for pioneering new products and services for the company.

Henninger is a veteran telecommunications executive, with deep experience in sales, marketing, operations, and general management. Prior to leading the Oregon & Southwest Washington market for Comcast and AT&T Broadband, Henninger was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MediaOne in New England. Before entering the cable industry, Henninger spent five years in the wireless phone industry as Director of Sales and Distribution of Sales Channels for AirTouch Cellular. Prior to this role, he worked at Circuit City Stores in Richmond, Virginia, where he was responsible for merchandising and purchasing.

Henninger holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, and has attended executive development programs at Harvard, the Anderson School at UCLA, and Wharton.
