$160,000 In Prize Money for Doorpost Film Project
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Due to overwhelming response to their Film Competition, the Doorpost Film Project HAS EXTENDED THE DEADLINE for the 2010 Film Competition. The deadline to enter is now February 8, 2010.
The fee to enter The Doorpost Film Project is $50 USD per film submission. Filmmakers are permitted to enter as many films as desired with a complete entry form and entry fee accompanying each submission.
Each submitted film shall be a maximum of seven (7) minutes in duration and must be submitted under one of the following topics: Authenticity, Identity, Community, Commitment, Sacrifice, Truth, or Hope.
From 1st round submissions, up to 100 "Merited Films" will be presented on the website for viewing.
Through a judging process, 20 finalists will be selected to write a script on one of the seven topics that they did not select in the first round.
5 filmmakers, from the second round participants, will be selected and commissioned to shoot a12 - 30 minute short film, for the final round of the project.
These commissioned filmmakers will be given a budget of $40,000 and mentorship from the Industry's elite, to create their short film, funded by The Doorpost Film Project.
These entries will be used to determine top competition prize-winners, with the GRAND PRIZE of $100,000!
