World Renowned Tenor Sings "Silent Night," "I Heard the Bells," and "Danny Boy" in New Video Clips

WASHINGTON, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Two video clips from world renowned Tenor Anthony Kearns' solo performance on December 17, 2009 for members of Congress, media, and V.I.P. guests are now available on YouTube.

Kearns, who is recognized as "Ireland's Finest Tenor," sings "Silent Night" and "I Heard the Bells," in one of the two newly-released videos. Kearns sings the famous Irish ballot, "Danny Boy," in the other YouTube video.

Both videos feature highlights from Kearns' performance at a "Celebration of Irish Spirits" reception at the Capitol Hill Club's Eisenhower Lounge, said Kirsten Fedewa, the event organizer. Kearns was accompanied by Eric Stern.

The first YouTube video features brief remarks by Ireland's Ambassador to the United States, The Honorable E. Michael Collins. Collins introduced Kearns with high praise, at the rare bipartisan holiday event. Distilled Spirits Council Senior Vice President Frank Coleman also makes brief remarks.

Kearns is a founding member of The Irish Tenors, considered to be Ireland's most successful musical export, second only to the band U2. He also performs and tours with The Irish Tenors, whose new album, "Christmas," currently top the Billboard World Charts. Kearns' solo performance schedule includes operas and symphonies in the coming year. (www.anthonykearns.net)

Ms. Fedewa said Kearns' meteoric career was recently featured in a top news story distributed by the worldwide Catholic News Service.

Kearns' appearance at the Capital Hill event was made possible by the Distilled Spirits Council, The Capitol Hill Club, DIAGEO, DDC Advocacy, MH Media, NBC Universal, Reflections Photography, and Kirsten Fedewa & Associates. Proceeds benefited The Consortium of Catholic Academies.
