Peter S. Vinal Premiers 'White Men Can't Dance' and Announces Distribution Deal with PANORAMA ENTERTAINMENT

Vinal to Donate Portion of Profits to Children's Miracle Network

WILMINGTON, N.C. and NEW YORK, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Director Peter S. Vinal's new film "White Men Can't Dance" opened to a standing ovation at the New York sneak premiere. The independent film, which finished production in November 2009, was made in HD, a unique technique of filming up though plexi-glass floors, integrating, track, boom, steady, to create a four dimensional look.

"White Men Can't Dance" has also announced a partnership/deal with PANORAMA ENTERTAINMENT to distribute the film.

Making the film, inspired by a true story and a recipient of the Dove Family Seal award, "PG" has been grueling. Peter S. Vinal notes that "It took 7 months to edit the dance scenes alone but was worth it." Vinal experienced professional and personal hardship creating the film, "two days before the premier, my mother died in front of us in the same hospital where my dad had died in my arms... but they brought her back! She opened her eyes for the first time asking if I had slept, worried about everyone else. She, barely speaking and in an almost coma state, said that she could not miss seeing my film. I lost it."

The film has already received rave reviews as one of the best break dance films of all time. A sneak premier in New York received a 15 min standing ovation and was opened by live break dancers.

About the Film

The film revolves around a family facing tragedy. The family's grandfather dies in the father's arms while waiting for a surgeon. Then, their only little girl becomes deathly sick and needs a kidney transplant. The father, just losing his job, unbeknownst to his wife, struggles financially. His only hope is to call his old dance buddies to get him into shape to compete in a break dance competition (with a cash prize) to save his daughter's life. Viewers will see the true essence of a break dance battle in an uplifting, inspirational, and funny story that will touch your heart and soul with a surprise ending.
