"The Perfect Time" by Jason Musante Klein Captures the Eye of Entertainment Industry Leaders

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Stella Artois and TriggerStreet.com announced today that "The Perfect Time" by independent filmmaker Jason Musante Klein is the winner of the 2009 Stella Artois Short Film Project. Selected by a celebrity-filled panel of judges that included actors Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Sacha Baron Cohen, actress Judi Dench and songwriter James Blunt, "The Perfect Time" is a darkly beautiful story of a man determined to complete the construction of a machine that will allow him to live in his favorite memory ... forever.

Announced in January at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, the Stella Artois Short Film Project invited filmmakers to submit entries to TriggerStreet.com. Films could be no longer than 10 minutes and were challenged to exemplify the theme of Sacrifice and/or Perfection. Ten finalists were selected by TriggerStreet.com and the panel of judges determined the winning film. Visit www.TriggerStreet.com to view "The Perfect Time."

"'The Perfect Time' demonstrated Mr. Klein's talents and the story resonated with our panel of judges," said Kevin Spacey, Academy Award-winning actor and TriggerStreet.com co-founder. "Anyone in the entertainment industry understands how challenging it is to get a break and we've enjoyed creating an opportunity for independent filmmakers to demonstrate their creative abilities."

Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti and Stella Artois awarded Klein, a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, the $50,000 prize at a private reception in New York on November 1. Klein's "The Perfect Time" will potentially receive additional exposure at various independent film festivals throughout the year.

"The Stella Artois Short Film Project takes our long-time support of the independent film industry to the next level by creating opportunities for filmmakers to pursue their passions," said David Daniels, Stella Artois. "Congratulations to Mr. Klein on his film and thank you to all the entrants whose sacrifice and pursuit of perfection was evident in their work."

Stella Artois is a long-time supporter of the independent film industry through sponsorships of events such as the Sundance Film Festival, CineVegas and the American Film Institute (AFI) awards.

TriggerStreet.com was founded in 2002 by two-time Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey and producer Dana Brunetti as an interactive mechanism to discover and showcase emerging filmmaking and writing talent. With the legal and attendant procedural restrictions on outsiders in Hollywood, Spacey and Brunetti sought to democratize exposure, providing an avenue of communication between Hollywood and emerging talent everywhere, thereby working to overcome the barriers they so often encounter.

"It's been really gratifying to be able to provide a venue for talented filmmakers like Jason to show their work and help them get their foot in the door to the film industry," said Dana Brunetti, producer and co-founder of TriggerStreet.com.

Responding to the enthusiasm and high quality of work produced by its burgeoning film community, TriggerStreet.com evolved as a social networking utility to provide an evolving platform for emerging artists in different media: the strength of the peer-based review system and the positive impact of the resultant constructive criticism catalyzed the addition of several new specialized communities. Beyond its short film and screenplay sections, TriggerStreet.com now provides an opportunity for feedback and exposure for short stories, books, plays and, most recently, comics.

Stella Artois traces its origin back to 1366 to a brewery called Den Hoorn, located in Leuven, a town just outside of Brussels. In 1717, master brewer Sebastian Artois purchased the brewery and renamed it to his namesake. The Artois Brewery created a special brew to celebrate Christmas and named it Stella (Latin for star) for its exceptional clarity. Today, Stella Artois is the gold standard for Belgian lagers with its distinctive flavor and spicy hop character.

Based in St. Louis, AnheuserBusch is the leading American brewer, holding a 49.2 percent share of U.S. beer sales. The company brews the world's largest-selling beers, Budweiser and Bud Light. AnheuserBusch also owns a 50 percent share in Grupo Modelo, Mexico's leading brewer. Anheuser-Busch ranked No. 1 among beverage companies in FORTUNE Magazine's Most Admired Global Companies list in 2009. AnheuserBusch is a major manufacturer of aluminum cans and one of the world's largest recyclers of aluminum cans. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the leading global brewer, and continues to operate under the Anheuser-Busch name and logo.
