Dr. Andrew Ordon of the Hit TV Show 'The Doctors' Launches 'Surgical Friends' Charity With Fellow Surgeons

TRIO OF TOP BEVERLY HILLS PLASTIC SURGEONS COLLABORATE TO DELIVER CRITICAL MEDICAL CARE TO PEOPLE IN NEED IN U.S. AND AROUND THE GLOBE.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The renowned plastic surgery experts DRS. KAMI PARSA, JAY CALVERT and ANDREW P. ORDON of "The Doctors" television show celebrated the formation of their foundation, Surgical Friends Foundation on November 13, 2009 at a launch party at the Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The surgeons have joined together in an unprecedented collaboration to tackle difficult, and often life-threatening, reconstructive cases of individuals in need and without health insurance.

Surgical Friends Foundation's mission is to unite philanthropists, reconstructive surgeons, and patients in need of surgery but without the financial resources. As plastic surgeons with sub-specialty expertise, they are well-suited to perform these life-altering surgeries. Most of the foundation's patients have physical deformities that are congenital, post-traumatic or acquired in nature.

In addition to their committed network of supporters including Fortune 500 company CEOs, motion picture and television producers, philanthropists and physicians, several celebrities were in attendance, including Megyn Price star of the CBS hit show "Rules of Engagement," Eva LaRue of "CSI: Miami" and the entire cast of "The Doctors" (Dr. Travis Stork, Dr. Jim Sears and Dr. Lisa Masterson).

The Surgical Friends' second mission is scheduled for early January 2010. The week long trip to Cambodia will see the doctors handling a full slate of pediatric cases - all children who have been victims of land mines, as a result of decades of civil war.

Of the three highly-qualified surgeons, many may be familiar with Dr. Andrew Ordon from the syndicated show, "The Doctors," but outside the medical community, few know that Dr. Parsa's pedigree ranks him at the top in a very small field of oculoplastic surgeons in the U.S. or that Dr. Calvert's innovative "DC Graft" technique is the hallmark of revisional rhinoplasty. Their expertise in sub-specialties of plastic surgery allows them to deliver the highest quality care to all patients.
