Chapman-Holmes will be Recognized as 'One of the Most Influential Minorities in Cable'

BALTIMORE, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Darlene Chapman-Holmes, Senior Director of Affiliate Sales for Retirement Living TV, the only network dedicated to adults 50+, will be honored at the 2009 annual National Association for Multicultural ethnicities in Cable (NAMIC) and CableFAX Awards Breakfast as one of the "Most Influential Minorities in Cable." The event, which will be held at 7:15 a.m. on October 27th at the Grand Hyatt in Denver, marks a milestone -- the first time that this list of honorees will be made public.

Darlene Chapman-Holmes has worked in the cable industry for more than eighteen years. Previously, she worked as a senior executive at AmericanLife TV, Black Entertainment Television, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nick at Night MTV Networks, Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel.

In addition to her professional career accomplishments, Chapman-Holmes has shared her talents with several organizations including Cable Television Association of Marketers (CTAM); the Executive Leadership Council; the Emma Bowen Foundation; the National Association of Minorities in Communications (NAMIC); Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT); and Cable Positive, Washington, DC Chapter to name a few. Moreover, she has served twice as conference facilitator for the Women in Cable's Management Leadership Conference.

In 2008, she received the NAMIC Luminary Award for advancing the NAMIC mission by promoting multi-ethnic diversity within its member companies and giving back to the communities in which they work and live. Furthermore, Darlene was named one of the top 100 most powerful women in cable by "CableWorld" magazine in 2007.
