Bill Bergmann and Jim Urick Named VPs of Finance for Starz Entertainment & Starz Media

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott D. Macdonald, executive vice president, finance and accounting for Starz, LLC, has named longtime Starz employees, Bill Bergmann and Jim Urick each to the position of Vice President, Finance supporting the financial activities of Starz Entertainment and Starz Media.

Bergmann and Urick report directly to Macdonald and are responsible for budgeting, planning and internal reporting activities across the family of Starz companies. Both previously held the position of executive director, finance and planning.

Bergmann has advanced through various financial management positions during his tenure at Starz Entertainment, adding additional responsibility for the overall budgeting and planning function. In 2000, he accepted the position of financial analyst and was responsible for sales planning and analysis for the DBS/New Media group. Bergmann joined Starz Entertainment in 1998 as an accountant. In 2008, he was selected to participate in the Starz Executive Leadership Program developed in conjunction with the University of Denver.

Bergmann holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo and resides in Castle Rock with his wife and two children.

Prior to his finance and planning positions, Urick was executive director, business development for Starz Entertainment's Advanced Services department. Prior to that, Urick was director, strategic development, and was responsible for building new business ventures and partnerships, as well as focusing on strategic initiatives for the company. Urick was originally hired in 1998 as senior financial analyst. Prior to joining Starz Entertainment, Urick worked in corporate finance and production management for MTV Networks.

Urick received a Bachelor's in Finance from Ferris State University in Michigan and resides in Denver.
