Attention Teen Musicians: Don't Miss Deadline to Compete in SchoolJam USA Teen Battle of the Bands, A Real-Life 'BANDSLAM' Experience
National 'SchoolJam USA' Battle-of-the-Bands Application Deadline Fast Approaching
CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- With just one week left to apply, SchoolJam USA is searching the nation for the most talented teen bands to step onto the main stage and compete in the first-ever SchoolJam USA, a national teen battle of the bands sponsored by NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry. SchoolJam USA offers youth bands the ability to perform before music industry professionals and go head to head against the best teen musicians in the U.S.
Teens: Apply today! Band applications must be submitted online at SchoolJamUSA.com by Thursday, October 15.
QUALIFICATIONS: Teen musicians between the ages of 13 and 18, who currently are registered in a middle or high school in the United States and are in a band that has never been signed to a record label, are eligible to compete. Bands may perform any genre of music as long as the music is original.
GRAND PRIZE: SchoolJam USA finalists will be competing for national exposure, prize money for their bands, as well as money for their school music programs and the opportunity to win the grand prize trip to Frankfurt, Germany, with their band to perform at the original SchoolJam competition.
SUPPORT MUSIC IN SCHOOLS! Help raise additional money for school music programs! For each additional Facebook friend added to the SchoolJam USA fan page, 50 cents per new fan will be added to the overall prize money for high school music programs.

SchoolJam is an established music initiative, originally developed by MM MusikMedia Germany to promote popular and rock music in schools throughout Germany.
