"NASA 360," produced by NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., in partnership with the National Institute of Aerospace, has just release a "webisode" in 3-D. The two and a half minute segment that is available on YouTube and Facebook takes viewers to the Arizona desert so they can see the testing of moon rover concepts up close and personal.

"We wanted our viewers to be able to get a better look at this exciting technology being developed by and for NASA," said producer and videographer Mike Bibbo. "Being able to show it in 3-D allows them to experience this test more like we did when we were shooting it. I only wish we could give everyone 3-D glasses."

The "NASA 360" team has just finished its twelfth show, "NASA in Your Home." Soon after its release it ranked as the most popular NASA podcast, with more than 66,000 downloads in the first three days. That brings the total of all "NASA 360" downloads to more than 1.2 million.

The program focuses on how technologies developed by or for NASA are being used in everything from space exploration to consumer products The program is part of the NASA eClips project that brings free NASA educational video content to the Internet.
