New York's WPIX-TV and LATV Team With Pathmark on Hispanic Heritage Month

LATV On-Air Personality Pili Montilla Will Appear in Sunday Afternoon of Festivities at Manhattan's South Street Seaport

NEW YORK, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- WPIX-TV (CW) and its Hispanic-targeted digital multicast channel LATV (Channel 11.3) announced a joint partnership with New Jersey-based Pathmark Supermarkets to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at New York's South Street Seaport on Sunday, September 27.

LATV's popular on-air celebrity Pili Montilla will emcee an afternoon of FREE activities from 12 Noon to 5pm that will be accompanied by live music, a salsa competition, and free prizes and giveaways. LATV's Pili Montilla is the host of En la Zona and En Concierto, which air locally in New York on WPIX-TV, a Tribune-owned station.

The following are scheduled to appear: Dr. Isabel Gomez-Bassols, a radio psychologist who hosts the live call-in show "Doctora Isabel"; the world-renowned Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Dancers; the Mexican Mariachi group, Mariachi Real de Mexico; Bronx Latin dance squad, Dancers Dreamzzz; and popular Latin swing and salsa band, Jerry Hernandez y La Orquesta Dee Jay.
