Queen Latifah to Reign as Host Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE Chosen as New Venue for Telecast

NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- People's Choice proudly announced today that world-renowned award-winning producer Mark Burnett will take the reins as Executive Producer of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2010, the premier awards show where fans honor their favorites in movies, music and television. Actor, singer and entrepreneur Queen Latifah will return as host for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2010, to be broadcast live from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on January 6, 2010 on the CBS Television Network.

Academy award-nominated actress and Grammy award-winning singer Queen Latifah returns to host the People's Choice Awards for the fourth consecutive year. Since her last appearance, Queen Latifah has released a new album, Persona, loaned her voice to the animated film, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, produced and starred in the soon to be released Fox Searchlight romantic comedy, Just Wright and wrapped production on the film Valentine's Day.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2010 will be broadcast live from its new home, Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, which is the centerpiece of L.A. LIVE, a 4-million square foot / $2.5 billion downtown Los Angeles entertainment, sports, dining and residential district adjacent to STAPLES Center.
