MIAMI, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Latin Recording Academy , Eventus and Univision announce the schedule and talent roster for the 2009 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties. Currently in its seventh year, the "Street Parties" kick-off in West New York, New Jersey between 54th Street and 60th Street on Boulevard East on Sept. 27. The festivals will continue on to Chicago on October 4th; South Florida on October 11th; Los Angeles on October 18th; Dallas on October 25th; and for the first time in Latin GRAMMY Street Parties history, the festival will take place at the Freemont Street Experience in Las Vegas, the host city of this year's awards show.

This month-long celebration highlights the enthusiasm, excellence and diversity of the U.S. Hispanic communities and will culminate with the anticipated 10th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, set for Nov. 5 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, which will be broadcast live on the Univision Network from 8 - 11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).

The Street Parties capture the excitement surrounding the Latin GRAMMY Awards by offering an interactive backdrop for attendees to experience live entertainment, sponsor display areas, and product sampling. This leading national Latin music festival series will continue to feature performances by some of Latin music's hottest artists, while serving as a launching platform for emerging talent representing various genres, including reggaeton, regional Mexican, pop, spanish rock, and tropical to name just a few

The 2009 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties are presented by McDonald's . Official sponsors include Verizon Wireless, State Farm Insurance and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which will give away a VIP trip to Las Vegas to experience the 10th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards ceremony first hand.
