Sky Expands Online TV Service With 6 More Live Channels

LONDON, March 6/PRNewswire/ -- Sky has expanded its online TV offering with the addition of six new live TV channels, including two Sky Movies' channels.

Sky has added Sky Movies Screen 1 and 2, Nat Geo Wild, Eden, G.O.L.D. and Sky Real Lives to its internet based subscription service - Sky Player TV (http://sky.com/skyplayer) - which is available without the need to subscribe to Sky's existing TV-based service.

The launch of these new live TV channels (http://sky.com/skyplayer ) bolster the existing Sky Player TV subscription service, which from GBP15 a month, already offers Sky Sports, Sky News, and other leading brands such as National Geographic, Disney Channel, British Eurosport and MTV ONE.

The addition of Sky Movies Screen 1 and 2, means Sky now offers premium online movies' subscriptions that comprise both live channels and on demand access to hundreds of film titles.

The launch of Nat Geo Wild, Eden, G.O.L.D. and Sky Real Lives increases the channel roster within the entertainment pack to 12, and with further names set to launch in the coming weeks, strengthens Sky's position as the natural destination for online viewing.

Basic and premium subscriptions are flexible with a minimum one-month term, and viewers can access their chosen channels from Mac or PC, anywhere in the UK.

Existing Sky TV customers can watch the on-demand, online TV (http://sky.com/skyplayer ) programmes that fall within their core TV subscription at no extra cost. Existing TV customers with multi-room or Sky Broadband Max can also watch the live channels they subscribe to at home, online at no extra cost*.
