NEW YORK, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention all proud parents! Isn't it time to prove that you have the cutest baby in the country? Now may be your little one's time in the spotlight, with the return of "Live with Regis and Kelly's" Beautiful Baby Search. The winning baby will appear on the cover of Parenting Early Years, and "Live" has partnered with Gerber to provide the lucky boy or girl with $125,000 to be used toward a college education.

Nearly 300,000 adorable kids were submitted in last year's contest. Three-year-old Ella Segars of Austin, Texas was selected as the 2008 Beautiful Baby Search winner and appeared on the June cover of Parenting.

To enter "Live's" 2009 Beautiful Baby Search, parents must submit a recent photo of their child by mail or by visiting LiveRegisandKelly.com, where further details and full contest rules are available. Entrants must be between the ages of 6 months and 48 months and the photo must have been taken within the last month. The staffs of "Live" and Parenting will narrow down the thousands of entries to ten semi-finalists, who will be announced on the show on the first day of Beautiful Baby Week, March 9-13, 2009. Viewers will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorites, and the top five contestants will be revealed the following day.

The five finalists and their parents will fly to New York to be guests on "Live" and take part in a Parenting photo shoot, and the week will culminate with the announcement of the grand prize winner. In addition to the top prize, "Live" and Gerber will award an additional $100,000 to be divided amongst the four runners-up, to be used toward a college education. And all ten semi-finalists will be awarded a year's supply of Gerber(R) products customized for their child using the Start Healthy, Stay Healthy(TM) nutrition plan, which helps provide nutrition guidance from birth to preschool.
