Private Media Group Achieves Near 100% VOD Coverage in Belgium Launching With the Country's Largest Cable TV Operator - Telenet

BARCELONA, Spain, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Private Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRVT) a worldwide leader in premium quality adult entertainment content, announced today the successful launch of its video on demand (VOD) services on the interactive digital TV platform of Telenet Belgium, the country's largest cable TV operator. With the incorporation of Telenet, Private movies are now available to near 100% of the rapidly growing VOD market in Belgium.

Private was chosen as one of the select adult content suppliers for Passion Deluxe a la Carte, the premium adult category on Telenet's video on demand (VOD) service, introduced on 1 October. This premium adult VOD offer carries a limited number of titles of the highest quality which can be viewed on demand for EUR 6.95. With significant buy rates, the launch has been a success.

Telenet is the largest cable TV operator in Belgium with around 2,200,000 analog and 520,000 digital subscribers. In Belgium, Private movies have also been available through VOD to the 440,000 subscribers of Belgacom TV since late 2007.
