Kickoff to Rebuild an Official NFL Super Bowl Sanctioned Event
WHO: Rebuilding Together along with NFL players, cheerleaders and more than 1,000 volunteers. Players include Duke Preston, Buffalo Bills; Brandon Jones, Tennessee Titans; D'Qwell Jackson, Cleveland Browns; Chris Kuper, Denver Broncos; Will Allen, Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Ryan Nece, Detroit Lions; Nick Sorenson, Cleveland Browns; and Tony McDaniel, Jacksonville Jaguars.
WHAT: Rebuilding Together, the NFL, title sponsor the American Petroleum Institute (API) and more than 1,000 volunteers will join together on Friday, January 30 to rebuild and provide critical repairs to 20 homes at no cost for local residents in the historic West Tampa community.
Rebuilding Together is the leading national nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods, providing critical rehabilitation and repairs to homes of low-income homeowners.
A community resource fair will also be hosted for area residents where they can find information on energy efficiency, home and personal safety, financial services, and more. West Tampa high school bands will keep the crowd grooving throughout the day, providing music in the main stage area while volunteers work to improve the lives of others. Nationally syndicated radio show "On The House" will broadcast live throughout the morning.
