Jamal was chosen out of thousands to embody the life and legendary persona of Notorious B.I.G (Christopher Wallace) in his acting debut in Notorious out nationwide on January 16th, 2009 from Fox Searchlight.

Woolard, who was an aspiring rapper before landing his role in Notorious, grew up not far from where Chris Wallace (Biggie Smalls) lived.
