CBS to Feature the "Best of CES" Award Winners in Outdoor Campaign
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CBS today announced it will offer expansive coverage of the upcoming 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from Jan. 8-11. With the support of CBS'S integrated television, radio and outdoor assets, CNET (www.cnet.com) -- the authoritative voice of CES -- will extend its reach beyond its established tech-enthusiast audience base. From the CNET Stage, located at the South Hall 3, Upper Level Lobby, the coverage will feature integrated cross-promotional appearances by CBS talent and CNET editors reporting on the hottest consumer technology products and trends.

The cross promotions will include:
Drew Carey on CNET LIVE -- Drew Carey, host of the long-running CBS game show, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, will appear as a guest on CNET LIVE, a call-in show hosted by CNET Editor-at-Large Brian Cooley and Executive Editor Tom Merritt. Carey, a self-professed tech enthusiast, will tour the show floor with CNET editors, and will share his favorites at the show.
CNET Editors on THE EARLY SHOW, CBS Television Stations and CBS Radio -- On Wednesday, Jan. 7, CNET Senior Editor Natali Del Conte will join CBS News Science and Technology Correspondent, Daniel Sieberg reporting live from the CNET Stage on CBS News' THE EARLY SHOW. Also CBS News Correspondents Manuel Gallegus and Drew Levinson will join Sieberg and Del Conte to provide reports from the show throughout each day for CNET. All of the CBS-owned TV stations and select CBS Radio stations will carry the updates and incorporate special sections dedicated to the CBS-CNET coverage on their Web sites.
"Best of CES" Awards -- Winners of the fourth annual "Best of CES" awards, which honor tech products in ten categories, plus Best in Show award and People's Voice award, will be featured across many platforms. The coverage will include:
-- 30-minute CES Special - Del Conte and Sieberg will host a 30-minute special program covering the "Best of CES" awards winners, produced in conjunction with the CBS Television Stations Group. The special will air on local CBS-owned stations following CES. A special lunchtime webcast of the special is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 16, at 12:30 p.m. local in each market and can be seen on all of the websites of the CBS Television and select CBS Radio Stations. -- CBS Outernet - CBS Outernet's out-of-home video networks and partners will run recaps of the award ceremony and "First Look" videos, a brief look at tech products launched at the show. -- CBS Outdoor - Beginning the week of Jan. 12, the video recap of the "Best of CES" Awards will air on the CBS Outdoor digital board, located in Times Square on 42nd Street in New York. CNET will produce live coverage -- including "CNET LIVE," "Buzz Out Loud" and "The 404" podcasts -- from the CNET Stage. CNET will also feature coverage from the North Hall (Booth #2416) with its Car Tech booth, where it will cover live installations of automotive products from Alpine, Kenwood, and Sony.
