Long Island Music Hall of Fame Announces Celebrity Attendees and Presenters for 2008 Gala
LONG ISLAND, N.Y., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Long Island Music Hall of Fame's (www.limusichalloffame.org) second Induction Gala on October 30th will feature a star-studded array of celebrities in attendance. The red carpet entrances will begin at 5PM at the Garden City Hotel (45 Seventh Street in Garden City, NY), followed by the gala and induction ceremony at 7PM.
2008 Inductees who will be in attendance include:
LL Cool J, members of The Ramones (Tommy, Marky, CJ), Chuck D (Public Enemy), Blue Oyster Cult (Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma), The Good Rats, Jean Ritchie, The Tokens, Kenny Vance, family and friends of Guy Lombardo, Count Basie, Aaron Copland, Beverly Sills and Louis Armstrong.

The Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHOF) is a 501(c)(3) museum and membership organization dedicated to the idea that Long Island's musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The organization defines Long Island geographically as Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Hall of Fame sponsors the Long Island Sound Award (LISA), traveling educational exhibits, and a scholarship program.
