Paramount Vantage to Handle International Sales on Neil Jordan's ONDINE Starring Colin Farrell

TORONTO, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramount Vantage will handle international sales on Academy Award(R) winner Neil Jordan's latest feature ONDINE, it was announced today by Alex Walton, SVP of international sales. Currently in production, the cast includes Colin Farrell (Miami Vice, S.W.A.T.), Alicja Bachleda (Trade), Stephen Rea (V for Vendetta, The Crying Game) and introduces Alison Barry. The Director of Photography is the internationally acclaimed Christopher Doyle (Hero, In the Mood for Love). Vantage is handling worldwide sales excluding North America which will be represented by CAA.

ONDINE tells the story of Syracuse (Colin Farrell), a local fisherman whose everyday life is transformed by a beautiful and mysterious woman (Alicja Bachleda) whom he fishes from the sea and who his young daughter, Annie (Alison Barry), believes is a mermaid. But like all fairytales, enchantment and darkness go hand in hand. ONDINE, written and directed by Neil Jordan, tells a story about hope, love, and the value of believing in magic.

Ben Browning of Wayfare Entertainment and James Flynn of Octagon Films will produce with Neil Jordan. Executive Producers are Wayfare's Michael Maher and Peter Rawlinson, and Ned Dowd. Wayfare Entertainment and the Irish Film Board financed the film. The film is shooting on location in Ireland.
