WHAT: The National Geographic Channel (NGC) will make available a live feed of the first 60 seconds of Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy's historic attempt to fly across the English Channel using a single, jet-propelled wing attached to his back. Beginning in Calais, France, Rossy will fire up his homemade jet wing, jump from a plane and attempt to cross the 23-mile channel in 12 minutes at about 120 mph and land in Dover, U.K. NGC has exclusive U.S. rights to Rossy's flight and will broadcast a one-hour primetime program entitled Flight of the Jet Man on Thurs., Sept. 25 at 9:00 pm ET/PT and stream the flight attempt on-line at http://www.natgeotv.com/jetman.
