ReachMD, LLC Announces New Strategic Partnership With The American Medical Student Association
Thousands of medical students will gain access to innovative medical education and news programming through REACHMD XM 157, the first satellite radio channel created for medical professionals by medical professionals.
CHICAGO, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ReachMD XM 157 announced today a new strategic programming partnership with the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), the nation's oldest and largest, independent association for physicians-in-training.
Gary Epstein, CEO of ReachMD, said, "We're excited about this new partnership designed to provide a critically important link between the medical professional community and the medical student community. This is a terrific opportunity for incoming medical professionals to express their voice on a range of issues and topics as they help shape the future of healthcare in America."
ReachMD XM 157 will provide AMSA with the ideal and most direct broadcast platform for reaching the medical student population both nationally and internationally through ReachMD's broadcast network online and mobile channels. In addition, this new partnership allows for expanded programming that will reach beyond the seasoned medical professional and focus on the medical students, international medical students, residents, interns and fellows.
This fall AMSA will launch a new show on ReachMD XM 157 called "Reaching and Teaching Beyond the Ward," an informative new series covering topics such as healthcare reform, global healthcare issues such as HIV/AIDS and pharmaceutical industry marketing.
Dr. Brian Hurley, AMSA's national president, adds, "We're thrilled to bring the voice of the nation's medical students to the national broadcast network for medical professionals."
With AMSA, ReachMD XM 157 adds another of the most prestigious medical organizations in the country to its roster of strategic partnerships. Others include the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and many more.
