The McGraw-Hill Companies Appoints Darrell K. Brown President of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting

NEW YORK, July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE:MHP) today announced the appointment of Darrell K. Brown as president of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting. Mr. Brown, 52, currently is vice president and general manager of KMGH-TV in Denver, one of four ABC affiliate stations in the Broadcasting Group. Mr. Brown succeeds Edward J. Quinn, who will retire following a distinguished 22-year career at McGraw-Hill Broadcasting.

McGraw-Hill Broadcasting includes four ABC-affiliate stations (KGTV, San Diego; KMGH, Denver; WRTV, Indianapolis, and KERO, Bakersfield, CA); three Spanish-language Azteca America affiliates, and the stations' websites.

"Darrell brings to his new role strong leadership experience, deep expertise in the broadcasting industry and extensive knowledge of our local markets," said Glenn S. Goldberg, president of McGraw-Hill Information and Media.

Mr. Brown has been vice president and general manager of KMGH-TV and Azteca America Colorado since November 2003. He joined the Corporation in 1983 at KGTV in San Diego, where he held various sales and management positions before being named general manager in 1997, overseeing all sales and editorial activities.

Mr. Brown currently serves as a vice chair of the ABC Television Affiliates Association's Board of Governors. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Brigham Young University.
